We will have a fabulous line-up of instructors, just as we do at every CookieCon event! Check out our Classes page for more information on our instructors.
You get a full package of instruction and experiences with your Attendee Ticket price, so if that is all you do, you'll have a great time! But if you are looking to make the most of your trip to CookieCon, we also offer a fantastic line-up of Add-On Workshops that you can register for.
Our Add-On Workshops are specialized, hands-on experiences with world-class instructors. Each one is an additional cost.
These classes will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, and will not interfere with the core CookieCon experiences. If you opt out of these, you should plan arrive by noon on Wednesday.
Learn more by visiting our Add-On Workshops page.
Yes! CookieCon Attendees will have early access to register for Add-On Workshops, but non-attendees can also purchase them a week later. Learn more about the differences between CookieCon Attendees and Add-On Workshop Only Students by clicking here.
CookieCon Attendees will have the option to sign up for up to two hands-on mini classes during CookieCon. These take place on Friday and Saturday of the event. Registration for Elective classes will be done through our registration site beginning a week after the Attendee Ticket purchase date, and is included with your Attendee Ticket purchase. Learn more here.
There are Electives scheduled at the same time as Core Classes. We recommend you study your chosen Track first and schedule your electives around breaks or Core Classes that don't interest you. You have until until February 26, 2025 to make changes to your Electives. If you have a conflict that can't be avoided, just choose the class you would like to attend more. There may not be any opportunity to change Electives or Tracks at CookieCon.
No, you do not need to choose Electives or a Track when you buy your ticket but you will eventually need to be assigned to a Track. If you don't choose a track, we will assign you to one. Electives are completely optional.
A Track is the order (or schedule) in which groups of Attendees see Core Instructors. Attendees can choose a Class Track when they register, or will be assigned if they do not choose.
All Track groups will see every Core Instructor, so you would choose based on where you prefer to have breaks for shopping, Electives, lunch, etc. You can see the track choices on the Core Instructor Page (under the Instructors List).
Yes, there are a few terms we throw around! See our CookieCon Terminology page to see definitions of several of terms we use at our event.
Absolutely not. We'd love to see anyone come. As long as you love cookie art, we love you! We've seen decorators from all over the world at our events!
We are concerned over the comfort and needs of all of our attendees. If you bring a small baby to CookieCon, please be sensitive to others in the classes. Obviously if your baby fusses, you'll be expected to take him/her out of the class. Having said that, a sleeping and/or quiet baby in a class would be welcome.
Any child attending CookieCon will need his/her own full ticket (infants are an exception - see above). We generally recommend 12 as the minimum age. Most teens 12 and over are ready and able to participate in all of the events and classes; however, you know your child best. If you feel like he/she is mature enough to attend, you are welcome to purchase a ticket for them. We have had 10- and 11-year olds who have been a great addition to CookieCon, and we love seeing the next generation of Cookiers coming up!
You are welcome to wear comfortable clothing to CookieCon. Some attendees dress up for the banquet and others do not. You are welcome wear what you wish.
Supplies and cookies for decorating will be provided - so no need to worry about any of this. Having said that, if there is anything you'd like to bring to use yourself, show others, etc., this would be more than welcome. You will be responsible for keeping track of your stuff. Some Add-On Workshops may require you to bring some supplies, but that will be clearly outlined when you register for each class.
We would LOVE to see as many people bring cookies as possible to contribute to our Sugar Show - but if you simply don't want to, it's not required. Learn more about the Sugar Show here.
Many attendees bring things to trade with other Attendees. These items can be all kinds of things, including buttons, stickers, branded trinkets, cookies, or other treats. It is a fun icebreaker that helps you get to know your fellow attendees. This is, of course, completely optional!
While we'd love to have you there for as much of the event as possible, if you need to arrive late or leave early that's just fine. If you'll get there late, head to the CookieCon registration desk, so we can get you "checked in", and get you your name tag, schedule, etc. If you need to leave early and will miss the banquet, please let us know and give us a shipping address so that if you win any prizes we can get them to you!
The entire schedule will be available closer to the event, but you can see a general outline of our schedule here.
You are more than welcome to make whatever arrangements you'd like with roommates. The CookieCon Attendee Facebook page will be great resources for making such arrangements. You can join this page once you've purchased a ticket.
Absolutely! Details on specific vendors are coming. Keep an eye on this website. We will also be announcing them on the CookieCon Facebook page. If you are interested in being a CookieCon sponsor or vendor, please click here for more information and to apply.
We strive to cater to decorators of all skill levels. Feedback from attendees has indicated that new and experienced decorators alike loved CookieCon and felt that they benefited from it. We have even had people attend who had never decorated at all before CookieCon!
No. Anyone that wants to go to the Vendor Hall is required to have a Shopper Pass or they will not be admitted. NOTE: Shoppers Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
There is no sharing of registrations or tickets. Each registration allows admittance of one person only. Benefits included with ticket purchase may not be pieced out (for example, selling or giving away your seat at the banquet, splitting classes with another person, etc.)
