You don’t have to be under 12 to enjoy this kid’s meal! In this hands-on class, students will be recreating favorites from a typical restaurant kid’s menu, but in cookie form! Using just a cookie base, royal icing, wafer paper and a few special tricks, you’ll be amazed at how much these treats look like their real counterparts. Cookie designs include dinosaur nuggets, grilled nuggets, mac n cheese, broccoli, apple slices, and chocolate chip cookies. This class is loaded with awesome techniques that can be applied to endless other cookie designs. Students should have a solid foundation of basic icing skills (piping and flooding) and a willingness to embrace the freedom and joy of textured cookies. Once at home, the decorating fun can continue! You’ll have access to a class workbook with templates, supply lists, and a review of each design!

Class topics include:
  • Texturizing/sculpting royal icing using a variety of methods and tools
  • Airbrushing to enhance texture
  • Creative royal icing transfers
  • Unique use of wafer paper
  • Painting/dry brushing with powdered food colors
