Instructor:

Cost: $250
Capacity: 24 students
Do you curse lumpy flood? Cry out with hand cramping when making florals? We all know clean, simple cookies are never as simple as they seem, so this frolic into fairy land will hit those skills that make those “simple” cookies possible. The key to all RI decorating is nailing icing consistency, so we’ll cover what it takes to get beautifully defined flowers (without carpal tunnel) and lovely smooth and puffy flood. Flowers are a fundamental skill, so we’ll play with several types, including toothpick roses and ruffly chrysanthemums. We’ll also explore some texture and detailing techniques that will add that little extra flair to your cookies to make those “simple” designs stunning. As a bonus, a photo station will be set up so you can capture your creations, and not have to stress about getting your cookies home intact.
Topics/Techniques covered:
- Icing consistencies for flowers, flood, and puff
- Toothpick roses
