There’s something special about decorating for the holidays. Capture the essence of the holiday season with this framed, three-dimensional Christmas display. In my hands-on session, you’ll be implementing traditional designs on convex curves, simulating boughs of greenery, and mimicking live edge woodwork with ease. Mixed media will include royal icing, edible acrylic paint, wafer paper and isomalt to accessorize and adhere elements into a composition you’ll want to feature all year long! Different methods and tools will include:

• Familiarizing yourselves with wafer paper and its properties!
• Introducing simple, edible elements to create a dynamic, realistic looking design.
• Experimenting with decorative applications on a curved surface.
• Exploring mandala patterns and dotting techniques you can use anywhere.
• Practicing your hand at air brushing techniques to achieve unique aesthetics.
• Assembling three-dimensional cookie art into a keepsake or a gift.

All levels of cookiers are welcome for this class, but basic piping skills are recommended.
