Unlock the mysteries of recipe development and flavors by tasting over 50 cookie recipes! Have you ever wondered if the brand of butter really matters? Or what difference all purpose versus cake flour actually makes? You will
see and taste how different types of ingredients can affect a cookie. Just one example of one of the dozens of taste comparisons you will make is five different cookies with orange flavor: zest, juice, extract, zest and extract, and powder.
Remove fear of wasting ingredients or mistakes and let me do the work for you! Making, testing, and baking this many variations of cookies would be hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars in ingredients. Get every question you’ve ever had about creating your own recipes answered! You will leave with an immeasurable amount of knowledge and the confidence to create your own delicious cookies
In this class we will:
- Taste 58 different cookie recipes, including the ones that helped me win my episode of Christmas Cookie Challenge
- Learn how to create your own recipes
- Discuss how to make substitutions
- Learn how different ingredients affect taste, texture, and bake on a cookie (Ex: salted butter vs unsalted butter vs brown butter vs bronze butter)
- Learn why ratios in recipes matter
- Compare how the least expensive and most expensive ingredients affect a recipe
- Discover what key factors can make your cookies consistent and delicious every time
- Discuss ideas with fellow cookiers
- Ask a Food Network Winner and Core Class Instructor all your questions about your ideas or problems with recipes
- Learn how recipes can help your cookie business generate more income
Each student will receive:
- Over 48 cookie recipes developed by Jacqueline (over a $240 value)
- A customized workbook with all important information given in class
- Swag bag with some of my favorite ingredients so you can start creating right away
- Link to a private facebook group where students can continue to ask questions and connect with each other after you are back home and applying the knowledge learned in class
