F.A.Q.
How much does it cost? How do I purchase a ticket?
Your CookieCon ticket costs $239. You may pay with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express or Paypal through our secure web site at www.karenscookies.net on this page.
Is it ok if we arrive late? What about having to leave early?
While we'd love to have you there for as much of the activity as possible, if you need to arrive late or leave early that's just fine. The format will be pretty loose and open, so this won't be a problem. If you'll get there later than Thursday, just find one of the event organizers when you arrive so we can get you "checked in", and get you your name tag, bag, etc..
Will we need to bring decorating supplies? What about cookies to decorate and try some of the techniques being taught?
Supplies and cookies for decorating will be provided - so no need to worry about any of this. Having said that, if there is anything you'd like to bring to use yourself, show others, etc., this would be more than welcome. You will be responsible for keeping track of your stuff though.
Do we have to bring decorated cookies for the Sugar Show contest?
We would LOVE to see as many people bring cookies as possible to contribute to our Sugar Show - but if you simply don't want to, it's not required.

Will there be a shuttle available for hotel guests to take us from the Airport to the hotel, and then back to the airport?
Yes there will! You can also take the light rail. Learn more by clicking here.
If we want to save on the hotel, can we have roommates? How will that be arranged?
You are more than welcome to make whatever arrangements you'd like with roommates. We will not be handling this on our end, but rather we're simply leaving it up to the attendees. The Cookiers R Us forum, and the CookieCon Facebook page will be great resources for making such arrangements. There is also a thread on Cookie Connection about this. Learn more about room rates and multiple occupancies on our venue page.
Will there be vendors there?
Absolutely. Details on specific vendors are coming. Keep an eye on this web site. We will also be announcing them on the CookieCon Facebook page. If you are interesting in being a CookieCon sponsor or vendor, please click here for more information.
Will I need to bring a coat or jacket?
Springtime in Salt Lake City might be a bit cold - it's hard to tell. Yes, plan on bringing a jacket - especially if you plan on adventuring out much to see the city, find restaurants, etc..

Is this event limited to U.S. Residents?
Absolutely not. We'd love to see anyone come. As long as you love cookie art, we love you! We saw decorators from several different countries at our last event!
When will tickets be available to buy?
October 1, at 7:00pm Mountain Time (6:00pm West, 8:00pm Central, 9:00pm East). Tickets will be available for purchase through Karen's Cookies on this page. Click here to learn about buying a ticket!
I came to CookieCon 2012. What will be the same? What will be different?
As you know CookieCon 2012 was a great success and a fun experience for those who came. We're keeping everything that went great, while making some things even better! Rather than having everyone in the same session for each class, we're breaking out into much smaller classes. This will give everyone a chance to see and hear better, ask questions and be heard, and interact more with the instructors. We're also increasing the number of attendees to about 450! You'll have the chance to meet even more decorators and see even more fun Sugar Show entries!
We have an all-new lineup of awesome instructors as well, so the material presented will be fresh for those who attended last time.
We're keeping the Sugar Show in the same basic format, along with Open Decorating, and the Awards Banquet. Basically if you loved it before - you'll love it again, and have plenty of new experiences available to you.

Great F.A.Q... but you didn't answer my question!
